Since the advent of Covid19 the world has changed and our industry has suffered the worst crisis it has had, since modern tourism has existed.

All modes of transport are immobilized, planes, boats, train, bus, cars. No passenger leaves a region to go to another, except over very short distances, under very specific and controlled conditions. Hotels and all types of accommodation are almost empty, all tourist activities are stopped. Tourism is forced to stand still. We are among those who think that we should take advantage of this forced hibernation to review what makes it so fragile. We have a duty, for all the women and men who work with passion in this sector, to prepare for a recovery, which should not be "business as usual".

Because things have changed. The whole world has just received a major warning: we have to change the way we live, work and use resources. We have to change our mode of consumption, whether in terms of food or travel. We must now answer the questions posed by the younger generation and not continue to think that the world can continue to turn in the same way.

The Vatel Mauritius team, aware of the need for this paradigm shift, offers tourism professionals to participate and involve their teams in programs, that are part of this new era and that take into account the new constraints that the current context imposes on us.

And because we know, to experience it at our level, that the means are lacking to act, we decided to show our solidarity with our partners in the industry by simply offering these training courses free of charge. Together, let's prepare tomorrow!
